Read MoreWhat is a Precinct Committeeman (PC)?
Precinct Committeemen (PCs) are official representatives of the Republican Party in your neighborhood. PCs work within the party not only to elect candidates who run in primaries and general elections, but also those who run for internal party positions. PCs are the most powerful officeholders in the party because they vote on the platform, resolutions, leadership and direction of the Party.
PCs inform and galvanize other Republicans that live in their precinct to attend local meetings, support Republican candidates/causes and get out the vote.
What is a Precinct?
A precinct is geographically contiguous and compact area around your neighborhood (it can consist of several subdivisions) that helps local election authorities ensure that voters have access to a convenient place to vote (your polling location). Everyone in your precinct votes at the same location.
How do I Become a PC?
PCs are elected every two years in their parties primary election. When running for precinct committeeman, you will need to gather petition signatures from other Republicans in your precinct and file them in a packet to the Lake County Clerk's office in order to put your name on the ballot.
Before or after an election, the chairman of your Republican county organization can appoint you to the position of precinct committeeman. Review the map below to see whether or not you are already represented by a PC, and take a moment to express your interest to either become a PC or support your existing PC here.
Who is My PC?
A precinct colored green indicates that there is an elected PC, yellow means that a PC has been appointed, and clear means we are looking to find a PC for that precinct.

Read MoreVISION
Our VISION is to be a community of educated and engaged voters collaboratively working to elect Republican leaders who will put people before politics and champion efforts to make Illinois the best state to live, work and raise our families.
MISSION
Our MISSION is to build a community of engaged voters in Vernon Township who we will educate, train and empower with the resources needed to: (1) grow the Republican voter base, (2) elect qualified Republican candidates to federal, state, and local offices, and (3) be advocates for policies that will make Illinoisans’ lives better – i.e., affordable cost of living, safe neighborhoods in which to live and work, an education system that values parents’ input, and a government that is transparent and accountable to the taxpayers who fund it. We consist of elected and appointed Republican Precinct Committeemen and Committeewomen, as well as volunteers and activists working together as a team to organize, communicate, educate, train, raise money, recruit, support candidates, and get out the vote to WIN elections.
VALUES
We believe in liberty, equality of opportunity, limited government, and that our rights come from God, not the government.
We believe in upholding the U.S. Constitution and in the equal application of the rule of law.
We will:
Lead with integrity - Whether in elected office or in our own homes, we serve our community by striving to be honest, respectful, inclusive, principled, and to listen to understand others' perspectives.
Champion family - Families are the bedrock of our society and parents are the guardians of the next generation. We will be a voice for the needs of Illinois families.
Be positive and proactive advocates – Be the “go-to” resource for accurate information on issues, candidates, and elections affecting our constituents. Be the party of ideas and solutions.
